Privacy policy
Privacy policy
PixelCat Inc. (“we”) sets out this policy to handle your personal information appropriately.
Effective: November 1, 2026
Information we collect
When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, inquiry and any company or project information you choose to provide.
For image and PDF extraction, we process your selected image or PDF page image and the extraction result.
When you visit our website, our hosting provider may also record information such as your IP address, access time and browser in server logs.
How we use information
- Responding to inquiries and arranging consultations or meetings
- Proposals, estimates, contracts and business communications relating to your request
- Providing, maintaining and improving our services
- Extracting text from images and PDFs and returning results
- Operating our website safely, including preventing unauthorized access and investigating failures
- Complying with laws and handling disputes
We use personal information only as necessary for the purposes above. We obtain your prior consent before using it for other purposes, except where permitted by law.
Security and retention
We take necessary and appropriate security measures to prevent the leakage, loss or damage of personal information, including restricting access to those who need it for their work.
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill its purpose or meet legal requirements. We delete or dispose of it appropriately when it is no longer needed.
Inquiry retention
We store inquiry details in our database so notifications can be recovered after a failure. Scheduled deletion removes them after 90 days; recovery backups may retain them for up to a further 30 days. Notification emails have a separate retention period.
Image and PDF processing
Our document digitization system processes your selected image or PDF page image solely to extract and return its contents. Do not submit documents containing confidential or personal information. The original PDF is processed in your browser; only the selected page image is sent. We do not record images or results in our databases, file storage, application logs or browser persistent storage.
The 90-day inquiry retention period does not apply to this feature. Our operational logs record only identifiers, result codes, processing times and usage counts. We store a date and counter to limit usage.
Sharing & service providers
We do not provide personal information to third parties without your consent, except where required or permitted by law.
We may entrust the handling of personal information to service providers as needed for these purposes. We select and supervise these providers appropriately.
External services
Contact inquiries
We use Cloudflare to receive, store and notify us of inquiries, and Google services to receive and retain email.
Site delivery and security
We use Cloudflare for website delivery and spam prevention. IP addresses and device or browser information may be sent to Cloudflare. For Cloudflare’s handling of information, see Cloudflare privacy policy.
Image and PDF processing
We use Cloudflare’s AI service for extraction. Its standard processing policy does not retain images or results beyond what is needed for a response, or use them to train AI models. Legal and safety exceptions apply; operational, billing and security metadata may be retained.
We serve our website fonts ourselves. Displaying text does not require a connection to Google’s servers.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to improve the site. Only with your analytics consent, cookies send page views, referrers, device, browser and interaction information to Google. Inquiry text, names and email addresses are not sent as analytics data. Contact and extraction pages do not load analytics. Advertising consent is not granted.
You can change your choice using “Analytics settings” at the bottom of the page. Your choice is saved in this browser for 180 days. You can use the website and contact us even if you decline. Withdrawing permission deletes this website’s analytics cookies and stops future Google Analytics transmissions. It does not retroactively delete data already sent.
For information about Google’s handling of data, see Google privacy policy for details. External websites are governed by their respective operators’ policies.
Requests about your data
To request notification of purposes of use, disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure or cessation of third-party provision of your personal information, contact us below. We verify your identity as necessary and respond in accordance with applicable law.
